Battle of the Bulge

I noticed my weight was slowly going back up again. Purely a result of, after having searched and searched my way through numerous online employment sites, sitting my ass down in front of the TV or in front of the computer surfing nowhere special.

I had worked hard to drop almost 60 lbs a couple of years ago and now almost 20 has come back on. That doesn't seem to be all that much, one-third of my original loss, but it's the trend that's worrisome.

It's time to get active once again and win this battle of the bulge.

I'm not going to bore (shock?) you with what my weight actually is, but I will update as to my total weight loss (gain?) going forward.

So, to start this day out right, I walked with my wife to her offices this morning. We walked at a very quick pace ... she listened to her motivating music and I listened to
John Derringer (with Maureen Holloway - one of the funniest ladies I've ever heard!!!) on Q-107. I don't listen to John's show faithfully anymore, now that I'm not spending an hour every morning driving to the office, so it was nice to hear "Auntie Mo" again.

Anyways, my Best Half has been walking to her new job regularly now and it's showing. So, my thoughts were, if I join her in the morning AND continue to eat smartly (truthfully the junk food and snacks are virtually non-existant in our household!), then I should be looking at dropping some pounds.

Smart thing to do, in my opinion.

So, I weighed myself yesterday and every Monday I'll weigh myself to see what, if any, progress is being made.
