Okay, how do writers find things to write about?
It seems that some people can write about anything. It might be as simple as filling a space with their thoughts.
I guess a story could be drafted around an event that might have occured to that individual at some point in the lives - as a child, teener, adult, etc. Or, possibly it was something that just happened to them - like an injury to someone they knew, or a news-worthy event they saw on the TV or read in the paper and had a strong opinion that they needed to voice, it could be something humourous that happened to themselves or a friend, or it just could be a stated opinion on any given issue. Whatever the case, these people find the "write" formula needed to fill up a page.
Some peole definitely struggle to find the inspiration to put wit to pen ... okay, you know what I mean.
I seem to be falling into this latter category of writers. It might be because I'm currently experiencing a "non-eventful" period in my life. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving life and my place in it. It's just that nothing of note is happening to me or my wife right now.
Sure, we both have our jobs and the people that we interact with daily, but they seem to be uneventful people too!
And sure, we have our activities at home and with our pets (ah, furry children - ain't it grand!?), but nothing of note is coming to mind.
So, again, I ask where do these people find their inspiration. I can't believe that their lives are that much more interesting or that so many things of note are happening around them that are so noteworthy.
I'm led to be believe that they're writing a lot about nothing. So, who'd actually want to read that crap?
Not me. I want to read interesting stuff.
I can't believe they're wasting my time like that.
