Welcome to My Blogging Domain

So, welcome to my blog (Thanks MG!). I can't believe that I'm now one of the masses, especially when I've never been someone who followed along like a lemming (since proven to be a hoax) and did what everyone else was doing. It might have been a control issue thing for me ... I tended to be the one all my friends asked, "So what are we going to do today?"

And yet, here I am - One of the many.

It was a tough decision to choose what the subject of my blog would be, since I'm a quiet fan of a lot of things, but a fanatic of nothing. Again, maybe a bit of a control thing? Do I just talk about things happening in my life? Maybe, but is it of any interest to people? Do I talk about friends and family issues? No, because their private lives are just that ... private. All these things can be a little invasive and although I doubt a crazed fan of my blog (assuming of course anyone ever reads this!) will hunt me down like the dog I am and terrorize me and mine ... I don't want to discuss private issues of those I love.
So it's going to be all about me and my interests.

I love to read - Sci-Fi predominantly - but, would anyone be interested in what I have read in the past or I'm currently reading? I'm sure there are a few. So, I'll look to talk about authors I love, genres I crave, etc.

I love playing Poker. I've been playing for years and have been the person who organized game nights at my place since before I graduated from college ... which was quite a while ago, believe you me! I wouldn't be jumping on the bandwagon, but we don't really need another poker site, do we? Well, maybe a little talk here and there about my exploits on the Party Poker site.

I love Toronto professional sports franchises - except for the Argonauts! I mean really, who watches the CFL?? So, do I talk about these sports, the players, the ownership, and the fans? Hmm, might not be a bad idea.

I love to
golf. There are a lot of golf courses around the GTA - Greater Toronto Area - that I've played on. I could talk about golfing in and around the GTA, what the courses are like, the costs, ratings, heck I could even talk about equipment, etc. Golfing is big and is growing continuously and I'm sure there a number of people who would appreciate understanding where to play, how much it costs, rating of the courses, etc.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I think we have a blog!!
So, without further fanfare and all that crap, I will be pleased to become one of the many who talk about their lives on the internet.
