Was had by all.
Well, I was suitably impressed with Century Pines. The course has matured since the last time I played there. Both the fairways and greens were in fairly good condition that allowed us to attack pin positions, enjoy good lies, etc.
We were to tee off at 3:08 pm (taking advantage of their after 3 pm special), but the course was very quiet this Sunday, so we were able to tee off at 2:45 pm. We played from the Blue Tees (Rating: 70.5 / Slope: 125 - Average Difficulty). It was a mixed day weather-wise. Sunny then cloudy with shifting winds that lasted through 13 or 14 holes when the wind decided to die down.
Despite making some early mistakes, I enjoyed at 79 today - 41 on the front and 38 on the back. I missed a 4' putt for birdie on the 16th after having made a 45 footer for birdie on the previous hole ...
Unfortunately, the course decided to close down it's bar early and we were left to drive to Waterdown (now a community of Hamilton) to have a post-round drink at Turtle Jacks. Oh, did I forget to mention that my partner and I beat the other 2-some 13 holes to 2!? LOL. Losers buy the drinks!
So, I'll rate Century Pines:
Course Layout - 7 out of 10
Course Condition - 8 out of 10
Customer Service - 6 out of 10
Value - 9 out of 10 (after 3 pm - $45 green fees including shared cart, hat, and bottle of water)
Overall - 7.5 out of 10
