All quiet on the United Nations front. Despite having decided not to take their offer should they have decided I was their guy, I guess I was hoping that I'd have been their choice. Mainly because I think that would lend more creedence to the possibility that Geneva (the ITU position) might call wanting to interview me. And since it's a higher level position, if I was desirable by UNOPS ... you get the picture.
I expect to get an email this week from the company I'm going to consult to on an upcoming government project. It's been a crazy month ++ waiting for this company to become registered in the government's Vendor Database, so the project could be posted and they could bid on it. Having worked in the government before, I full heartily believe the axiom - "The Government moves at a snail's pace." I've confirmed that the project WILL be posted this week, so work should start during the first week in August.
In the meantime, résumés get sent out.
Damn, I wish I was golfing.
